ADA/504/508 Compliance

The ADA/504/508 compliance efforts are promulgated by Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. The purpose of of designating compliance officers is to ensure compliance with these non discrimination laws and provide leadership in instituting equitable policies and practices for students with disabilities.

The compliance officers review and address existing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the most recent legislative updates. On a case-by-case basis, and depending on the nature of a complaint, a compliance officer convenes an ad hoc committee of experts to address the complaint in a timely manner and to ensure reasonable measures are taken to resolve the issues.
